"Lincoln County Schools are recognized across the state as one of the premier school systems in North Carolina." - Brad Sneeden, Associate Vice-President for Leadership Development, UNC
Lincoln County Schools are definitely special. They have continued their success by remaining true to a system that works; small class sizes, a low 18 to 1 student to teacher ratio, and a teaching staff with an average of 15 years of experience. This and many more attributes make Lincoln County one of the top fifteen school districts in North Carolina, assuring your children receive the highest quality education they deserve. Area schools offer specialty programs ranging from all-day kindergarten to college preparatory classes.
East Lincoln High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. St. James Elementary School, which opened in 2003, is located directly across from the Verdict Ridge Golf and Country Club Community East Entrance. The teachers are local to the area and care for our children. In fact, several of the teachers are residents of Verdict Ridge.
